Try something antibe_excepted with our Middle Eastern inspired smoothie, masterfully blending nutty, spicy notes into a vibrant mix! The Arugula lends a wonderful peppery base, mellowed down by the natural sweetness of figs and dates. Spiced tahini and almond milk amp the flavor while a zing of lemon juice brings it all together.
Ingredients (for 4)
- Arugula - 2 handfuls
- Fresh figs - 8 - halved
- Dates - 8 - pitted
- Spiced tahini - 4 tablespoons
- Unsweetened almond milk - 2 cups
- Lemons - 2 - juiced
- Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon - ground
- Ice cubes -
- Salt - Pinch
Preparation

Step 1 - π₯¬ππ°In a blender, combine the arugula, figs, dates, spiced tahini, unsweetened almond milk, lemon juice, ground cinnamon and a pinch of salt.

Step 2 - ππͺοΈπ΅Blend the ingredients until everything is smooth.

Step 3 - βοΈππ₯€Add in ice cubes and blend once more until the smoothie has reached your desired consistency.

Step 4 - π±πΉβ¨Pour the smoothie into glasses. Garnish each with arugula leaves, a fig half, a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drizzle of tahini.

Additional
This is a vegan-friendly smoothie that everyone will absolutely love. Due to its availability, almond milk is used, but feel free to replace it with cashew milk, oat milk, or any type of milk you prefer. If you're looking a for a chilled smoothie, freeze the figs before blending!
