This recipe, called Gratin Dauphinois, is a lighter version of a classic French dish. Instead of the traditional heavy cream and cheese, this recipe uses milk and nutmeg to create a creamy and comforting potato dish that is perfect for a cool winter day. Thinly sliced potatoes are layered in a baking dish and baked until golden brown on top.
