Ingredients (for 4)

Fresh strawberries - 2 cups - hulled and halved
Fresh blueberries - 2 cups
Vanilla bean - 1 - sliced and scraped
Whole milk - 2 cups
Heavy cream - 2 cups
Granulated sugar - 1 cup
Egg yolks - 8
Pure vanilla extract - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Whipped cream - for serving
Red, white, and blue sprinkles - for garnish
Cherry - 1 - for garnish

Preparation

Puree the strawberries and blueberries individually in a food processor. Then transfer each puree into separate bowls and refrigerate.
