
Sweet Soy-Glazed Asparagus Skewers

Inspired by the flavors of the Chinese cuisine, this appetizer showcases Asparagus in a unique and delightful way. Ingredients (for 2)
- Asparagus spears - 10 spears - washed and trimmed
- Small thumb-sized piece of ginger - 1 piece - grated
- Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon - dissolved in a tablespoon of water
- Sesame seeds - a pinch - for garnish
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste

Step 1 - πΆπ₯π₯Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and rice vinegar in a small saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves.

Step 2 - π½π¦π―Add in the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan, stir continuously until the sauce thickens into glaze. Set it aside.

Step 3 - π₯¦π₯π³Heat oil in a grill pan over medium heat. Add asparagus and turn occasionally for about 10 minutes until they are tender and lightly charred.
