Blue Milk Panna Cotta

May 4th, the day to celebrate the Star Wars franchise, is here! In honor of this, we have a recipe that will transport you to a galaxy far, far away. Our dish is inspired by the iconic blue milk featured in the movie. This vegan recipe uses coconut milk and butterfly pea flower tea to create a vibrant blue color. Cheers to the force!
Ingredients (for 4)
- Coconut milk - 2 cups
- Butterfly pea flower tea - 1/4 cup
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Agar agar powder - 2 tsp
- Vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
- Assorted tropical fruits (kiwi, mango, papaya) - - topping
- Edible silver glitter - - decoration
Preparation

Step 1 - πΆπ₯π«In a small bowl, mix agar agar powder with 1/2 cup of coconut milk until completely dissolved

Step 2 - πΆπΊπIn a medium saucepan, mix the remaining coconut milk, butterfly pea flower tea, and sugar

Step 3 - π‘οΈπ₯π₯£πBring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then add the agar agar mixture and stir until completely dissolved

Step 4 - π¦π₯₯βοΈRemove from heat and add vanilla extract. Pour the mixture into 4 greased ramekins and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set

Step 5 - ππ₯β¨Top with fresh tropical fruits and a sprinkle of edible silver glitter before serving
Additional
Butterfly pea flower tea is a natural ingredient that can often be found at specialty tea shops or online. To make the blue milk even more stunning, use a clear glass for serving so the blue color can really shine through. May the force be with you!
