Escape the chill with this sophisticated French-inspired breakfast that features the gently sweet and subtle onion flavor of shallots. They are paired wonderfully with delicate fluffy eggs and rich brie cheese, for an irresistible combo.
Ingredients (for 2)
- Medium shallots - 4 - thinly sliced
- Large eggs - 4
- Brie cheese - 1.5 cups - cut into small pieces
- Ready-made puff pastry - 1 sheet
- Whole milk - 1 cup
- Unsalted butter - 2 tbsp
- Salt and pepper - to taste
- Parsley - - chopped for garnish

Step 1 - 🔥🌡🕰Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2 - 🧈🍳🧅Melt the butter in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Add the sliced shallots, sprinkle with a little salt and pepper, and sauté until they're caramelized and golden brown.

Step 3 - 🍽🍴🥟Roll out the puff pastry onto a lined baking tray. Prick all over with a fork, leaving a 1 inch border untouched.
