Ingredients (for 4)
Preparation
-
Step 1 - 🌡️🔥🍮Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease four ramekins.
-
Step 2 - 🥘💧🔥In a saucepan, over medium heat, dissolve 1 cup of grated jaggery using 1 tablespoon of water.
-
Step 3 - 🥥🥛🔥Remove from heat and add 400 ml of coconut milk. If the mixture is too dense, gently heat it, erring on the side of caution to prevent it from burning.
-
Step 4 - 🥚🌿🥄Add 4 large beaten eggs, followed by 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom and 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg. Mix well until combined.
-
Step 5 - ☕💧🥘Pour the mixture equally into the prepared ramekins. Place ramekins in a deep baking tray and fill the tray with boiling water up to halfway to the ramekins.
-
Step 6 - 🌡️⏰🍮Bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the center.
-
Step 7 - 🌿✂️🍃While the custards are cooling, finely chop 2 tablespoons of fresh oregano and set aside.
-
Step 8 - ✨🍮🥄Sprinkle the cooled custards with oregano. Garnish with 1/4 cup of golden roasted cashews before serving.
