This unique appetizer draws on a Southern American classic with a fresh twist. The broccoli takes center stage, accented by pimento cheese and crunchy pecans, all nestled in a crispy pastry shell.
Ingredients (for 2)
- Small head of broccoli - 1 - cut into small florets
- Pre-made pastry shells - 4
- Pimento cheese - 1/3 cup
- Pecan halves - 4
- Olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste

Step 1 - 🔥🌡️⏲️Preheat the oven to 350F for baking the tartlets later.

Step 2 - 🥦🧂🍳In a pan with heated olive oil, add the small broccoli florets. Season them with salt and pepper. Sauté until they become slightly soft.

Step 3 - 🥄🧀🥐Spoon a small amount of pimento cheese into each pre-made pastry shell. Then top each shell with the sautéed broccoli.

Step 4 - 🥐🔥⏲️Bake the tartlets in the preheated oven for around 15 minutes, until the pastry shells turn golden and the cheese starts to bubble.

Step 5 - 🥜🔝🍽️After removing the tartlets from the oven, top each one with a pecan half. Serve them while warm for the best taste!
