This recipe is perfect for a romantic Valentine's day dinner in New York City. Our Surf and Turf with Lobster and Beef Tenderloin feature two decadent ingredients that will elevate your dinner to a whole new level of sophistication. The dish is accompanied by a delicious truffle mashed potato and crispy brussels sprouts.

Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Step 2 - 🍲💦🔥
    Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add the cubed potatoes. Cook the potatoes until fork-tender, then drain.
  3. Step 3 - 🥔🔨🌶️
    Return the potatoes to the pot over low heat and add grated parmesan, truffle oil, heavy cream, butter, salt and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Add more cream if necessary.
  4. Step 4 - 🥦🔥👨‍🍳
    In a baking dish, add the brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Roast for 20-25 minutes or until crispy.
  5. Step 5 - 🦞💦🔥
    For the lobster, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add the lobster tails and cook for 8-10 minutes until the shells are bright red and the lobster meat is cooked through.
  6. Step 6 - 🍖🌡️👨‍🍳
    Season the beef medallions with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet over high heat and add some olive oil. Sear the beef medallions for 2-3 minutes on each side
  7. Step 7 - 🥩🔥🌡️
    Transfer the beef medallions to the preheated oven to finish cooking. Bake for 5-7 minutes, depending on desired doneness.
  8. Step 8 - 🍽️🥔🥩🦞
    Serve the mashed potatoes on the bottom of the plate. Add the beef medallions and lobster tails on top of the mashed potatoes. Add the crispy brussels sprouts on the side of the plate.
