Inspired by the exotic flavors of Thai cuisine, we created a unique cocktail, starring the earthy, yet delicate taste of cremini mushrooms. Balanced with the zing of lime, the zesty chilli heat, and the sweet aroma of coconut, it's a symphony of Thai tang in every sip!
Ingredients (for 4)
- Medium-sized cremini mushrooms - 8 - sliced thinly
- Coconut water - 4 cups
- Vodka - 1 cup
- Limes - 2 - juiced and additional for garnish
- Chilli peppers - 2 - deseeded and sliced finely
- Fresh lemongrass - 1 stalk - crushed
- Fresh thai basil leaves - - for garnish
- Coconut sugar - to taste
- Ice cubes -
Preparation

Step 1 - π₯₯π¦ππ₯Boil the coconut water with cremini mushroom slices and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.

Step 2 - πͺ£βοΈποΈRemove the infusion from the heat, allow it to cool completely before straining. Discard the mushroom slices.

Step 3 - πΈπΉπIn a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, lime juice, the strained coconut water, a pinch of coconut sugar, crushed lemongrass stalk, and chilli slices.

Step 4 - πͺππShake the cocktail shaker energetically until well-mixed.

Step 5 - πΈππΆοΈStrain the cocktail mixture into glasses filled with ice, garnish with a lime wheel, Thai basil leaves, and a small slice of chilli pepper.
Additional
This cocktail pairs splendidly with spicy Thai appetizers. You can replace vodka with gin or rum based on your preference. For a non-alcoholic version, use sparkling water instead of vodka. For an extra culinary adventures, roast the mushrooms for a more intense, nutty flavor!
