
Apricot Lychee Fusion Delight

Introducing a delectable twist on a classic - apricot and lychee smoothie, inspired by Chinese flavor palettes. Apricots bring an inherent sweetness, whilst lychees add a refreshing hint of Chinese-inspired floral notes. Chinese five spice powder gives this smoothie an unexpected warmth, making it a unique sip to savor.
Ingredients (for 2)
- Ripe apricot - 4 - pitted
- Lychee - 1 can - drained
- Ripe banana - 1
- Almond milk - 1.5 cups
- Agave nectar - 1 tbsp
- Chinese five spice powder - a pinch
- Chia seed - to taste - garnish
- Fresh mint leaf - to taste - garnish
Preparation

Step 1 - 🔪🍑✂️Cut the apricots into halves and remove the seeds.

Step 2 - 🍑🍌🍹Blend the apricots, drained lychees and ripe banana in a smoothie maker or blender.

Step 3 - 🥛🌀💮Gradually add almond milk while blending until smooth.

Step 4 - 🍯🌶️🔄Add the agave nectar and a pinch of Chinese five-spice powder, and blend again till incorporated well.

Step 5 - 🥛🌱🌿Pour into glasses, garnish with a sprinkle of chia seeds and a sprig of mint.
Additional
Apricots are rich in vitamins A, C and E, and are known for their antioxidant properties, making this smoothie not just a delicious treat but also a health-boosting one. For those with a nut allergy, substitute almond milk with coconut milk. Have fun with the spices too! If you're not a fan of Chinese Five Spice powder, a bit of ground ginger or cinnamon can also do the trick.
