
Matcha Infused Poached Pear with Honey Drizzle

The key component of this dish will be Matcha, a special grade of green tea famous for its vibrant color and various health benefits; paired with the delicate taste of poached pear. Our choice of Matcha resonates well with the occasion as it is often used in tea ceremonies, symbolizing peace and tranquility.
Ingredients (for 4)
- Medium-sized firm pears - 4 - peeled, keep stem intact
- Water - 3 cups
- Granulated sugar - 1 cup
- Matcha tea powder - 1 tablespoon
- A lemon - 1/2 - squeezed
- Pure honey - 1 tablespoon - for drizzling
- Matcha powder - Additional - for garnishing

Step 1 - 🍯🚰🔥In a large pot, bring 3 cups of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally until the sugar is dissolved.

Step 4 - 🍐🌊🕝Place 4 peeled, medium-sized pears in the pot, ensuring they are fully submerged. Let them simmer for about 25 minutes or until they become tender. Make sure not to overcook.

Step 5 - 🍐🥄❄️Using a slotted spoon, gently remove the pears from the pot, set them aside and allow them to cool.

Step 6 - 🍯🔥🕓Turn up the heat and reduce the Matcha syrup until it thickens. Allow it to cool.

Step 7 - 🍐🍽️🍯Place each pear on a serving dish, drizzle over with the cooled Matcha syrup followed by a drizzle of 1 tablespoon pure honey. Dust each pear lightly with additional Matcha powder for garnishing.
