Ingredients (for 4)
- Gluten-free fusilli pasta - 12 oz
- Spicy sausage - 4 oz - sliced
- Olive oil - 1 tbsp
- Yellow bell pepper - - diced
- Frozen green peas - 1/2 cup
- Heavy cream - 1/2 cup
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup - grated
- Garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt -
- Pepper -
Preparation

Step 1 - 🍝💦⏰Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente.

Step 2 - 🔥🍴🌶️🌽While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Add the diced yellow bell pepper and frozen green peas to the skillet and continue cooking for 2-3 more minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.

Step 3 - 🥛🧀🧄🍶Add the heavy cream, grated parmesan cheese, and garlic powder to the skillet and stir until the sauce is warmed through and the cheese is melted.

Step 4 - 🍝🍴🌶️Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta.

If you want to make this a vegetarian dish, you can swap out the sausage for sliced mushrooms or tofu. And if you're feeling extra indulgent, you can sprinkle some crispy bacon bits on top of the finished dish. Kids can help by measuring out the frozen peas or grating the parmesan cheese.
