Get ready to warm up with this Japanese-inspired, quick and easy dish featuring the humble and hearty cabbage. Cabbage works amazingly well in soups providing a comforting bite and is remarkably nourishing.
Ingredients (for 2)
- Half a head of cabbage — half — roughly chopped
- 200 g tofu — 200 g — pressed and cut into cubes
- Miso paste — 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable broth — 4 cups
- Green onions — 2 — thinly sliced
- Garlic cloves — 2 cloves — minced
- Black sesame seeds — for garnish
- Soy sauce — 2 tablespoons
- Canola oil — 2 tablespoons
- Salt — to taste

Step 1 — 🌡️🍳🥢Heat canola oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until they turn crispy and golden brown. Turn off the heat, and toss the tofu with soy sauce. Set aside for later.
