
Crisp Tex-Mex Firecracker

This cocktail, with its fusion of distinct Tex-Mex flavors and crisp celery, is a refreshing break from standard summer drinks. Tequila, a key ingredient in Tex-Mex cuisine, will be the base spirit, while fresh lime and jalapeno lend a zesty kick, and the celery adds a unique twist of coolness.
Ingredients (for 4)
- Fresh and cool celery - 4 stalks - none
- Tequila - 1.5 cups - none
- Lime - 4 - freshly squeezed
- Jalapeno - 2 - seeded and finely chopped
- Salt - 1/4 cup - for rimming
- Crushed ice - 2 cups - none
- Sparkling water - to top off - none
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons - none
Preparation

Step 1 - πΉππ§Firstly, rim the glasses with lime and dip into 1/4 cup of salt, then set them aside.

Step 2 - ππΆοΈπ§π§In a shaker, combine 1.5 cups of tequila, juice of 4 fresh limes, 2 seeded and finely chopped jalapenos, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 cups of crushed ice.

Step 3 - π₯πΊβOnce all the ingredients are in the shaker, shake well until the mixture is chilled and the sugar is fully dissolved.

Step 4 - πΈπΉπ§Strain the cocktail from the shaker into the rimmed glasses.

Step 5 - π¦π₯π₯¬To finish, top off each glass with sparkling water and garnish with a fresh and cool celery stalk.
Additional
This cocktail is extremely versatile and open to modifications. Feel free to swap the sparkling water with your favorite soda or add in other Tex-Mex ingredients like cilantro for a unique spin. You can also control the level of heat by altering the amount of jalapeno.
