In honor of Coffee Day, weβre whipping up a dessert that's both a visual masterpiece and a testament to the versatility of coffee. Our Espresso Tiramisu Martini infuses a classic Italian dessert with a caffeinated kick.
Ingredients (for 2)
- Espresso or brewed coffee - 1 shot or 1/3 cup - cooled
- Granulated sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Brandy - 1 tablespoon
- Ladyfingers - 4 - cut into smaller pieces
- Mascarpone cheese - 1/2 cup - room temperature
- Pasture-raised egg yolks - 2
- Cocoa powder - 1 tablespoon - plus extra for dusting
- Chocolate-covered coffee beans - 6
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Fine sea salt - a pinch

Step 1 - βοΈπ₯πΈCombine one shot of espresso or 1/3 cup of brewed coffee with a tablespoon of granulated sugar and a tablespoon of brandy in a bowl. Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves. Dip 4 ladyfingers, cut into smaller pieces, into this syrup and arrange them at the bottom of two martini glasses.

Step 2 - π₯ππ₯Whisk together 2 egg yolks and a tablespoon of sugar in a heatproof bowl until well blended. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water and stir continuously until the mixture becomes thick and creamy. Ensure that the egg does not cook. Remove from heat and whisk in 1/2 cup room temperature mascarpone cheese until it's well combined.

Step 3 - π₯π«βοΈDivide the mascarpone cream between the two glasses, laying it over the soaked ladyfingers. Dust each layer with 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder using a small sieve. Top each glass with three chocolate-covered coffee beans.
