Preparation
-
Step 1 - 🔥🌡️🕓Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Step 2 - 🍋🧂🐔Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and the lemon zest. Drizzle olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken from both sides until golden. Set aside the chicken.
-
Step 3 - 🍳🍋🍷In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté until aromatic. Then add the white wine, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and pull in thyme from the Lemon Thyme sprigs. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the wine evaporates slightly.
-
Step 4 - 🥛🧀🥄In the saucepan, add the heavy cream and the grated parmesan cheese, stirring until well incorporated. Allow it to simmer for a few more minutes until the sauce has slightly thickened.
-
Step 5 - 🍽️🐔🥐Roll out the puff pastry and place the chicken breasts at equal distances. Spoon the creamy sauce evenly over the chicken.
-
Step 6 - 🥩🔒🥯Fold the puff pastry over the chicken and sauce, making sure to seal the edges tightly.
-
Step 7 - 🕑🥐🔥Bake the prepared pastry for around 20-25 minutes until the pastry turns golden.
-
Step 8 - 🕜😀🍽️Allow the pastry to rest for 5 minutes before serving, to allow the flavors to meld together beautifully.
